As you know we have been having difficulty ordering the black and yellow swimsuits and jammers (in some sizes) since last autumn. The supplier promised that things would improve but most sizes are still out of stock so we are probably not going to be able to get a reliable supply of these suits/ jammers in the future as there is no other UK company we can order them from.
Swimmers can wear any comfortable suit/ trunks/ jammers for training. For competitions the letter says “Club colours must be worn”. This means that girls must wear an IASC black cap (£3.50 from our Swimshop). Boys can wear a cap too but it is not compulsory although for higher level competitions boys tend to wear caps. It is quite good if we have a club “image” when competing so we are probably best to go back to black suits/ trunks or jammers as these can be obtained without a problem for those who would like to do this. We can order plain black suits and jammers or (for a couple of pounds more) ones made of a longer lasting, chlorine resistant fabric. Let us know if you want to order any of these items.
It is also good if swimmers wear a club t-shirt (£6-7) at competitions or, if you want one, a club tracksuit top (more expensive at £20-25 but nice and warm). We usually have t-shirts in stock and order the tracksuit tops in batches when we have orders for about 3-4.
