One of the primary aims of the club is to develop competitive swimmers who train to compete against other swimmers from their squad, other clubs or other national regions.
Swimmers have PBs (Personal Bests) for different strokes over different distances.
You can find results from the current seasons internal competitions below and to the left you will find the archive of results from our Club Championships and Internal Cups.
The Huntly and Anderson Cups are held internally every 3 months. The Huntly Cup is open to swimmers under 12 (excluding Prep group) and the Anderson Cup is open to all swimmers from Prep Group. The Huntly Cup is awarded to the swimmer who makes the biggest improvement in a 50m time in any stroke between 2 consecutive cup meets. The Anderson Cup is awarded to the swimmer who has the fastest combined time of a 25m of each of the 4 strokes.
The Intermediate Squad Speed Awards are awarded to squad swimmers who achieve certain times at the Huntly Cups. Awards are presented in Bronze, Silver and Gold once these times are met in three of the four strokes. In addition a Gold+ award is granted once the set time is achieved in any one stroke.
Results and awards are now calculated using metres times - yards times are converted to the metres equivalent. Speed awards are based on 50 metres.

Backstroke | 60.00 secs | 53.00 secs | 48.00 secs | 44.00 secs |

The Club Championships take place every November/December and are open to all members of the club to take part. The competition is based on a points system across 4 strokes and distances. Swimmers in Prep Groups compete against each other regardless of age. All other swimmers compete on an age group basis competing against other swimmers.
Check out the results from the 2022 Club Championships here.
These internal cups are held across various dates between March and June each year and all have different criteria. These Cups are swum as “Age on the Day” of the Competition. All swimmers (except Prep Group and those on their initial month’s trial) are automatically entered for these competitions. Those swimmers on their initial month’s trial may swim on a “Time Only” basis.
